Microsoft has announced two new Government Secret level Azure data centres in Canberra, Australia. These are specifically to target Australian Federal Government clients. The new centres present a massive opportunity for Core to host both standard government identities, as well as more sensitive identities, in our Azure-hosted Identity as a Service platform, Aurora.
Core expanded their operations into Australia at the start of 2018, and the new centres are an opportunity to further specialise in government identity. Core already manage 43,000 UK government identities. The new centres mean there are no barriers to taking their managed service to Australian government, to help them get IAM right.
The new Australia regions are now generally available: Australia Central and Australia Central 2. They are delivered from the Australian-owned, secret-accredited facilities of Canberra Data Centres (CDC).
Additional benefits include:
• | Compliance. Azure has the most certifications globally and locally of any cloud provider, with ASD certifications for Unclassified DLM and Protected coming soon. |
• | Resilience. Receive high availability and disaster resilience from the only global cloud in multiple Australian regions. |
• | Connectivity. Reduce network costs and improve performance by connecting via Azure ExpressRoute from the Intra Government Communications Network (ICON). |
