Teams Topics - Why should I move from Skype for Business to Teams?

Written by Core Newsroom | Feb 12, 2020 4:19:38 PM

Last summer, Microsoft announced that Skype for Business Online would be retired in July 2021. With only 18 months left until the UC platform is no longer supported, now is the time to start thinking about migrating to another platform - and Microsoft want that platform to be their communication and collaboration hub, Microsoft Teams.

Teams offers all the communication capabilities of Skype for Business: calls, instant messaging, video and audio conferencing. But it also has a number of other features which make it an effective hub for collaboration. In Teams, you can share and save files, edit files together and view your calendar, all within a single app.

Teams also makes your communication more streamlined and relevant, as you can create individual teams and channels for specific projects.

Microsoft have positioned Teams as the natural replacement for Skype for Business. Here are a few more reasons why you should move from Skype for Business to Teams.
